Law School Teachers and Students Conducted A New Breakthrough in the First National College Students' Career Planning Competition

    On June 13, the winners of the first National College Student Career Planning Competition, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, were announced. Hou Xingyou, a 2022 international law major student under the guidance of Mr. Zhu Zhiqiang from our school of Law, made a new breakthrough in this competition and won the national Bronze Award of the Employment Track.


    With the theme of Building Dreams and Youth Aspirations in the Four Directions, Planning to Set Sail for the Future, this competition was the first national special competition set up with the goal of promoting high-quality full employment of college students. The competition had a total enrollment of 9.52 million students, covering 2,740 universities across the country. After the school competition, provincial competition and other links, the final 160 players from Tsinghua University, Peking University and other universities went on the stage of the national finals of the employment track for the ultimate showdown. The competition consisted of three parts: theme statement, judges' questions and offer from God. Through two competition mechanisms: on-site presentation and comprehensive interview, the competition comprehensively evaluated the fit between students' personal development path and economic and social development needs, and accurately measured the fit between employability and career goals and job requirements. At the finals, Hou Xingyou, starting from two aspects of career goals and practical results, comprehensively extracted the career direction and value pursuit of rule of law escort and service entity, logically and clearly responded to the questions of the on-site judges, won the bronze award of the higher education group of the employment track, and obtained the internship employment intention provided by the two on-site enterprises.


    This award was another important honor after the teachers and students of the Law School won the third prize in the fifth Near the Career of the Yangtze River Delta Legal Professional Ability Interview Competition, marking a new breakthrough in the national competition awards of the Law School. The Law School will take this opportunity to give full play to the demonstration role and education value of the competition, constantly improve the system construction of students' career education and employment guidance courses, do practical and detailed employment guidance services, guide students to establish a correct view of talent, career and employment, and steadily improve employment competitiveness.
