On June 10, 2023, sponsored by the Law School of Wenzhou University, the seminar Training of Outstanding Legal Talents in the New Era and National First-class Professional Construction was successfully held in Yansongtang, Wenzhou University. Experts and scholars from Jilin University, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Anhui University, Zhengzhou University, Zhejiang Technology and Business University, Anhui University of Finance and Economics and other universities jointly discussed the construction of first-class law major, foreign-related legal talents training, new era law major construction, legal talents training and practical teaching. Plans for training outstanding legal talents in the new era and building first-class national specialties were also negotiated.
Vice President Gao Hai and Teacher Gao Yi of our college were invited to attend the forum and made a keynote speech in the fourth unit of the forum, Training of legal Talents and Practical Teaching. Centering on the Exploration of the Reform of Multi-level Legal Practice Teaching with Trial as the Center, Professor Gao Hai introduced the reform practice of the legal practice teaching of Anhui University of Finance and Economics from two aspects: the revision of training program and the reform of teaching methods, and summarized the confusion of how to refine the characteristics of the legal profession in practical teaching and how to coordinate theoretical teaching and practical teaching. With the theme of The Supposed Effect and Condition Guarantee of Moot Court Competition in the Training of legal Talents, Associate Professor Gao Yi reiterated the importance of legal practice teaching, expounded the function of Moot court competition in the training of legal talents, and introduced the basic situation of various moot court competitions in the Law School of Anhui University of Finance and Economics. Finally, he summarizes the problems existing in the organization of Moot court competitions and the suggestions for adaptation.
During the seminar, in-depth exchanges were conducted with the participating universities on the cultivation of outstanding legal talents in the new era and the construction of high-quality national first-class majors, which helped to improve the talent training mechanism of our college and the construction of national first-class professional points and Anhui Province's peak cultivation disciplines.
