From November 27 to December 4, 2021, the third Huaihai Jade Dragon Cup National College Moot Court Competition was held online. The competition was co-sponsored by Moot Court Professional Committee of Legal Education Society of China Law Society and Jiangsu Normal University, and organized by The Law School of Jiangsu Normal University. The competition was based on huaihai Economic Zone and was open to law majors from universities all over the country. More than 30 teams from colleges and universities across the country, including East China University of Political Science and Law and Hunan University, participated in the competition, with each school sending undergraduates and postgraduates to participate.
This competition set competition procedure as the preliminary, semi-final and final. The Anhui University of Finance and Economics team won the second place of the agent group with excellent results. among them, Gu Liangqian and Huang Jinglei won the title of outstanding debater of the agent group respectively.
The team consisted of Huang Baoxuan, Gao Yi as the instructor. After selection, Gu Liangqian, Huang Jinglei and Shao Mengpei constituted an agent group to represent the Law School of Anhui University of Finance and Economics. Since the formation of the team on October 25, the team had been working hard to prepare for the preliminary competition. The team had spent several weeks preparing for the competition. During the whole competition, the team had discussed more than 20 times, conducted systematic and rigorous legal search and revised dozens of documents. Finally, the agent team members succeeded in breaking through the five rounds of the competition and entered the final with a high score of 84:69. In the final, they narrowly lost to the Heilongjiang University team and won the second place of this competition.
The students from our school achieved great results in this competition , which demonstrated our students' mastery and flexible use of professional knowledge in front of other universities in the country, and fully reflected the strength of our moot court competition. Our school has always attached great importance to the accumulation of theoretical knowledge and the improvement of practical ability of students, created conditions in various aspects, encouraged students to participate in academic activities and professional competitions, and actively built a powerful platform for the cultivation of students' professional quality, demonstrating fruitful results.
